Not everyone can commit to a weekend campout—and that’s exactly why we’re doing this.
Whether you’re a seasoned rider with thousands of miles under your belt, brand new to motorcycling, or just looking for an excuse to explore the Hocking Hills with good people, this one-day rally is for you.
Come for the morning, stay all day, or just join us for a ride. We’ll have a variety of suggested routes ranging from relaxed scenic roads to more adventurous loops, making it easy to find a ride that matches your pace and experience level. Ride with a group, meet new riding buddies, or head out solo with one of our curated route maps and discover roads you may have never found on your own.
When you’re back at the shelterhouse, stick around for yard games, good conversation, and a community cookout. Bring a side dish to share, or chip in $5 if you’d rather not cook. We’ll handle the grill.
This isn’t about speed or skill—it’s about building community, finding your next favorite road, and spending Labor Day doing what we all love.
What to expect:
-Scenic self-guided and group ride options
-Curated Hocking Hills route suggestions
-Meet riders of all experience levels (or use the One Day Rally as a basecamp and ride solo)
-Yard games and hangout at Lake Hope Shelterhouse
-Community cookout (bring a dish to share or contribute $5)
-Come and go as your schedule allows (10:00am-5:00pm with two TBD times for grilling out)
No camping. No pressure. Just motorcycles, great roads, good food, and even better company.

There is no “cost” to attend the One Day Rally! But we are doing it cookout style.
So RSVP, sign the waiver and let us know if you’re bringing a dish to share or contributing $5 for the cookout.
–Entry to anything other than the day-use shelterhouse at Lake Hope.
While the One Day Rally on Monday, September 7th is NOT a camping event, if you’re into camping, you could still camp in the area that weekend and meet us at the Lake Hope Day Use Shelterhouse for the One Day Rally!
-You can use the One Day Rally as your basecamp to unload your camping gear and ride lighter on paved or trail routes on your way back into the Central Ohio area, too!
The One Day Rally is for everyone!
-New or experienced riders,l on and off-road alike!
-Riders who might not be ready for moto camping or just want a basecamp for the day.
Riders who want to find someone to ride with and riders who just want to meet up for lunch and ride on their own.
There are no “pre-determined’ guided rides, but groups may form at the Rally for riding street and gravel/off-road.

Here’s what to EXPECT
Bike parking at Lake Hope e Shelterhouse
The immediate driveway to the Lake House Shelterhouse is gravel, but the majority of the entrance at the park is paved. There is also a paved parking lot immediate before the turn off for the shelterhouse. You can park there if you aren’t comfortable on gravel.
What about the riding?
The routes above are suggestions. Groups or solo riders may come up with their own routes to ride in the area. It’s Labor Day, so many area attractions may be closed for the day. Off-Road routes will be clearly marked as off-raod and generally rated on difficulty.

What should you bring?
The One Day Rally is a cookout!
Bring your dish to share or $5 to contribute.
-This isn’t a camping event but you could brng a hammock to hang out at the shelterhouse.
-There is a sandy beach swimming area near the shelterhouse. Its about a 6 min walk. Bring a swimsuit if the weather is good!
WHAT NOT TO BRING
This is not a camping event, so you don’t need anything but your dish, your bike and yourself.
Do I need a printed ticket? Nope, we’ll have your name on a list when you arrive.
Throttle Company and the Super Secret Campout are inclusive and welcoming. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, homophobia, bigotry, hate speech, harassment, or violence of any kind. If you feel unsafe, report it to Dylan or Nicole immediately.
