ABOUT THROTTLE COMPANY
Start Something Old.
Throttle Company is an independent motorcycle shop in Columbus, Ohio, built around motorcycles we actually want to ride, people we want to ride with, and the idea that a motorcycle shop can be more than a place to buy a bike.
Founded in 2018, Throttle Company has grown from a small vintage motorcycle project into a full-service dealership, parts shop, and motorcycle community.
Our Story
From a Pop-Up Idea to a Motorcycle Shop
Throttle Company started in 2018 with a fairly simple idea: create the kind of motorcycle shop we wanted to exist.
The original concept centered around restored vintage motorcycles, carefully selected gear, events, and creating a gathering place for people who were interested in motorcycles for more than just transportation.
In 2020, we moved into our permanent Columbus shop and that idea began growing into something much bigger.
Today, Throttle Company is an authorized dealer for Royal Enfield, Moto Guzzi, and BSA, along with used and vintage motorcycles, parts and accessories, motorcycle service, test rides, events, group rides, routes, technical resources, and an increasingly large community of riders.
Despite that growth, the original idea has stayed mostly the same: help people find motorcycles they genuinely enjoy and give them more reasons to ride them.
A Small Shop With a Surprisingly Big Reach
Columbus, Ohio. North American Reach.
Throttle Company remains an independently owned local motorcycle shop, but we’ve grown well beyond where we started.
We now rank among the top five dealers in North America for both Royal Enfield and Moto Guzzi sales.
That’s important to us not simply because of the number of motorcycles sold, but because we’ve grown by doing things differently: keeping test rides easy, knowing the motorcycles firsthand, creating useful motorcycle content, organizing rides and events, and trying to make the buying experience feel less like a traditional dealership.

Nicole + Dylan
The People Behind Throttle
Nicole
Nicole has been part of Throttle Company from the beginning and has helped shape much of what makes the business feel like Throttle — from the visual identity and photography to events, rides and community projects.
Her first motorcycle was a 1975 Honda CB360T, purchased in 2018. What started with sunset rides, route planning and an interest in vintage motorcycles quickly became something much larger.
She still likes routes that end with pizza.

Dylan
Dylan has spent most of his life making, fixing and figuring out how things work.
Before Throttle Company, he operated a fabrication business building everything from interactive museum exhibits to custom signage. Motorcycles eventually became the focus.
Today, he works across nearly every part of Throttle Company — motorcycles, the website, video, rides, events and the endless process of building a better motorcycle shop.
He still rides as much as possible and has very little interest in motorcycles becoming purely decorative objects.
Why We Do It
Caring is the whole point
We believe test rides should be normal.
We believe the people selling motorcycles should ride motorcycles.
We believe discovering a great road, learning how your bike works, meeting someone to ride with, or taking an unexpected day trip can matter just as much as the motorcycle itself.
And we believe an independent motorcycle shop can contribute something valuable to the place where it operates.
That’s why you’ll find Throttle Company organizing events, publishing routes, making videos, maintaining motorcycle manuals and resources, and occasionally disappearing into southeastern Ohio with a group of motorcycles.
